Geumjeong Fortress North Gate is one of the surviving gates of the mountain fortress above northern Busan. The climb from Beomeosa Temple is steep, but the reward is a strong sense of the old defensive line and wide views back across the city.
It works best as part of a half-day hike linking Beomeosa with the fortress walls. Wear proper shoes and allow time for the descent, especially in hot or wet weather.
