Ella is all about the outdoors. The main attractions are short hikes to viewpoints and waterfalls, all reachable on foot or by tuk-tuk from the town centre. Most walks take a half-day at most, so you can comfortably fit two into a single day if you start early. The surrounding tea plantations are worth exploring too — several factories offer tours.
