St. Sebastian's Church is one of the clearest signs of Negombo's Catholic character, rising above the town with twin towers and a Gothic Revival outline. In a place better known for lagoon, fish markets, and beach hotels, it gives the old town a different focus.
The church is best visited respectfully and without expecting a museum experience. Its interest lies in scale, devotion, and neighbourhood life: services, street activity, and the way Catholic festivals still shape this part of the coast.
