Dawulun Fort

Hilltop Qing-era fort above Keelung, with stone remains and wide coastal views.

Dawulun Fort sits on high ground west of Keelung, where it once helped guard the harbour approaches. The stone walls, gun positions, storage spaces, and paths are not pristine, but they give the site a rugged military character that fits the weathered north coast.

The views are the other reason to come. From the fort area you can look toward Keelung, Dawulun Bay, Lovers Lake, and the sea, making it a good stop for travellers who want history with a walk rather than another temple or market.
