One of Keelung's most popular religious and sightseeing attractions. This sea-eroded cave stretches more than 80 metres into the hillside, its walls decorated with lifelike carvings of the 18 Arhats of Buddhist lore. The temple complex built around the cave is colourful and atmospheric, especially when incense smoke drifts through the carved passageways. Take the No. 301 city bus on the Taibaili route and get off at the Xiandongyuan stop.
