Calligraphy Greenway

The Calligraphy Greenway (Caoxie Lvyuan Dao) is a long landscaped park strip running north-south through the centre of the city for nearly four kilometres, linking the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in the south with the National Museum of Natural Science in the north.

It is built over a former irrigation channel and now functions as the city's main pedestrian and cycle artery. Cafés, sculpture, occasional weekend markets, and direct access to most of the central cultural institutions. The southern end, around the museum of fine arts, is the more atmospheric stretch.
