One of Taiwan's best museums — a sprawling complex covering everything from dinosaurs and Chinese medicine to earth sciences and a tropical botanical garden. The permanent exhibits are particularly strong on ancient Chinese civilization and natural history, and the IMAX cinema and planetarium are worth adding on. Popular with families; expect school groups on weekdays. Closed on Mondays.
