Wenxin Forest Park is the largest park in the western half of Taichung, an open green space dotted with banyans, sports courts, and a small lake. It sits a short walk from the National Taichung Theater and is the standard spot for an early-morning jog or a late-afternoon walk.
A weekend organic farmers' market runs on the southern edge, with vegetables, fruit, and prepared foods from small farms across central Taiwan. Free entry.
