The Wuquan Cultural Park sits opposite the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, on a quiet stretch of the Calligraphy Greenway. It is a small park anchored by the Cultural Heritage Park — a cluster of preserved tobacco-factory buildings from the Japanese colonial period, now used as galleries, design shops, and event spaces.
The combination of brick architecture, banyan trees, and slow weekend foot traffic makes this the most pleasant cultural district in Taichung. The cafés in the converted factory buildings are a good spot for an afternoon coffee.
