Koxinga's Shrine is a small shrine dedicated to Zheng Chenggong, better known in English as Koxinga. His legacy is complicated: he is remembered as a Ming loyalist, a ruler of Taiwan, and the commander who expelled the Dutch from Fort Zeelandia.
The shrine grounds are quiet, with plaques, a garden, and a statue of Koxinga on horseback. It is worth a short stop for visitors following Tainan's layered Dutch, Ming, Qing, and Japanese-era history.
