Qigu Salt Mountain

Former salt-industry site near Tainan with a white salt mound and coastal wetlands nearby.

Qigu Salt Mountain is a remnant of Tainan's old coastal salt industry, reshaped as a visitor site around a pale mound of salt and salt-field heritage. It gives travellers a concrete way to understand the flat, brackish landscape west of the city.

The stop is strongest when combined with Qigu's lagoon, seafood, or birding areas. On its own it is a short visit, but as part of a coastal loop it adds local history and a visual landmark that is easy to remember.
