Smaller and quieter than the main cemetery, Chong Kai holds the graves of around 1,750 Allied prisoners of war on the site of the Chong Kai POW camp, 3 kilometres south of town. A short ferry ride across the Mae Klong or a short drive south leads here. The cemetery is seldom crowded and has an even more contemplative atmosphere than the main one.
