Walking Street is the main entertainment strip in South Pattaya — about 500 metres of bars, clubs, restaurants, and cabaret venues that close to traffic from 6pm onwards. It is the densest concentration of nightlife in one of Southeast Asia's most notorious bar towns, loud and very direct about what it is.
Beyond the obvious, there are some genuinely good live music venues, open-air seafood restaurants, and a handful of legitimate nightclubs. Pattaya Dolphin Roundabout at the north end marks where it begins. The street is at its most intense from around 10pm to 2am. It is safe and well-lit, though the hawkers and touts can be relentless.
