Pattaya's bar scene is concentrated along Beach Road and the sois running off it, particularly Walking Street in South Pattaya, which is the most intense stretch. The bars range from air-conditioned sports bars to open-fronted beach bars. Jomtien Beach, 2km south, has a calmer scene. The city is honest about what it is, and there are plenty of straightforward options for a cold Singha and live music.
