Wat Poramai Yikawat is Ko Kret's main temple and an important Mon Buddhist site. The monastery preserves Mon traditions, with scriptures and daily prayers in the Mon language.
The ubosot is decorated with Italian marble brought during the reign of King Rama V, while a wooden pagoda near the pier holds the remains of a former abbot. The white Burmese-style stupa is one of the island's signature sights.
