Noodle Shops on the Main Road

A cluster of small, family-run noodle shops occupies the block behind the market on Mae Sariang's main street. These are where the town eats — no English menus, plastic stools, and prices that assume a local income. The speciality is nam ngiao, the northern tomato-and-pork-rib broth with fermented soybean paste, rarely found this far from Chiang Rai. Point at what others are eating if in doubt.

Open from early morning until mid-afternoon, when most close. A bowl with extras rarely exceeds 50 THB.
