Wat Si Bunruang

Right next door to Wat Jong Sung and easily visited at the same time, Wat Si Bunruang has a similar Shan-Burmese feel — a tiered roof, carved gables, and a single chedi at the back. The viharn houses a row of Buddha images in different styles, a quiet record of how the town's temples have absorbed influences from both sides of the border.

Together with Wat Jong Sung this is the closest thing Mae Sariang has to a temple district. The double compound takes about half an hour to walk through at a leisurely pace.
