Hüdavendigar Mosque is an early Ottoman complex in Bursa, built for Sultan Murad I and set on the western side of the city. Its unusual two-storey arrangement, combining mosque and medrese functions, makes it stand out even in a city full of Ottoman religious architecture.
The mosque is a worthwhile stop if you are tracing Bursa's first Ottoman centuries beyond the Grand Mosque and the central tombs. It is quieter than the main sights and gives a better sense of how imperial patronage spread across the old capital.
