Dalaman is a small town and easy to navigate on foot. For reaching the surrounding destinations, you have a few options.
Dolmus
The dolmus is Turkey's shared minibus system — essentially a public taxi that picks up and drops off passengers along a fixed route at fixed fares. They run regularly and are the cheapest way to get between towns in the Dalaman area. Ask at your hotel or the bus station for routes and times.
Taxis
Taxis are readily available and reasonably priced for short journeys. They are the most convenient option from the airport. Make sure the meter is running or agree on a fare before setting off.
Car Hire
Renting a car gives you the most freedom to explore the coast and inland areas. Rental agencies operate at the airport and in town. Roads in the region are generally well maintained.
Local Buses
Regular bus services connect Dalaman with nearby towns. Routes are well signposted and the buses are comfortable. The main bus station (Otogar) is the hub for longer-distance connections.
