Tucked into a restored Ottoman house in Odunpazarı, the Museum of Modern Glass Art is a small two-floor collection of contemporary glasswork by Turkish and international artists. Pieces range from delicate blown vases to large-scale sculptural installations, all lit to bring out the colours. The building itself — original wooden floors, painted ceilings — adds to the experience.
It pairs well with a sequence of the other small museums clustered in Odunpazarı: meerschaum, wax, woodworking, typewriter. None of them takes more than 45 minutes; together they make an enjoyable indoor afternoon when the weather turns.
