Fethiye is the largest market town in the region. The Paspatur old quarter has carpet shops, antique dealers, and jewellers, but the main event is the Tuesday market — one of the biggest on the coast. Hundreds of vendors set up stalls selling fresh produce, spices, honey, olives, dried fruit, leather goods, textiles, and every conceivable variety of fake designer clothing. Bargaining is expected and part of the experience.
