Günnücek (Marmaris National Park)

Pine-fringed national park edge close to Marmaris, with a small beach and liquidambar forest.

Günnücek is the easiest taste of Marmaris National Park from town: a pocket of forest, picnic ground, and sheltered shoreline just beyond the marina side of Marmaris. The attraction is not wilderness in the grand sense, but the speed with which the resort noise drops away. Pine, olive, and sweetgum trees shade the paths, and the water is calm enough for a lazy swim.

Come early or late in the day, especially in summer, when the park is at its best and the heat is less punishing. It works well as a short walk, a picnic stop, or a low-effort beach escape if you do not want to commit to a boat trip around the bays.
