Tekirdağ is a compact city and most of what is worth seeing can be covered in a relaxed day. The waterfront promenade, the Rákóczi Museum, and the archaeological collection are the main draws. The real reason most visitors come is the food and drink — rakı, wine, and köfte — and the vineyards of the surrounding countryside.
