A small redeveloped island just off the main Abu Dhabi island, reached by a single bridge from the eastern side. The Abu Dhabi Global Market financial district sits at the southern end; the Galleria mall, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and a row of luxury hotels are spread across the north.
The Al Maryah Waterfront Promenade runs along the western shore with the better restaurants in the city facing the water. It has become Abu Dhabi's de facto upscale dining and going-out district, and is most lively after sunset.
