Khalifa Park is one of Abu Dhabi's more useful green spaces, especially if you are travelling with children or need a break from malls and monumental architecture. It mixes lawns, shaded paths, playgrounds, a small train ride, and seasonal family attractions in a part of the city where distances can otherwise feel very car-dependent.
It is not the capital's most essential sight, but it earns its place because it shows a softer, everyday side of Abu Dhabi. The maritime museum and heritage displays add a little context, while the park itself is best treated as a late-afternoon pause before dinner rather than a standalone day plan.
