Ras Al Khaimah's attractions split between three landscapes: the old town and its creek, the desert and mountains inland, and the long coastline running south to Al Marjan and north past Shimal. The standout day out is the drive up Jebel Jais, with the world's longest zipline as the extreme option. Closer to the city, the National Museum, the ruined Dhayah Fort, and the abandoned pearl village of Al Jazirah Al Hamra are all worth time.
