Tashkent is easy to get around. The metro is fast, cheap, and covers the main areas of interest — the stations themselves are worth seeing for their elaborate Soviet-era decoration. Buses (painted green) are plentiful and run fixed routes with designated stops. Taxis are also widely available and inexpensive by Western standards.
