Dalat's high altitude gives it one of the most pleasant climates in Vietnam — cool and refreshing year-round, with temperatures rarely exceeding 25°C. The dry season runs from November to April and is the most comfortable time to visit. The Da Lat Flower Festival is held in December, a biennial event that fills the city's streets with flower-decorated carriages and draws visitors from across Vietnam. Even outside the festival, the city is surrounded by commercial flower farms producing roses, orchids, and chrysanthemums for the rest of the country.
