Things to Do

Dalat rewards slow exploration. The city's French colonial architecture, highland scenery, and quirky landmarks make it unlike anywhere else in Vietnam. The lake at the centre, the Crazy House a short walk away, and the cable car up to Truc Lam Pagoda cover the essential sights. Beyond the city, Langbiang Mountain offers a half-day trek with panoramic views over the Central Highlands, while the canyoning and motorbike tours that leave from the city centre push into waterfalls and minority villages that most visitors never reach.
