Things to Do in Port Macquarie

Port Macquarie punches above its weight for a mid-sized holiday town. The Koala Hospital is a genuine highlight — the only dedicated koala care facility in the world — and the coastal walk between Town Beach and Tacking Point Lighthouse takes in beaches, headlands, and ocean views all the way.

The colonial history is concentrated in the few blocks around Clarence Street: the old courthouse, the first burying ground, and St Thomas' Church, the oldest still-functioning Anglican church in Australia.
