Alice Springs restaurants make a feature of bush tucker and Central Australian proteins — kangaroo, emu, camel, and crocodile appear on menus more widely here than almost anywhere else in Australia. The town is not large, but it has a surprisingly varied dining scene for its size. Todd Mall and the streets running off it have most of the restaurants, cafés, and bistros. Overlanders Steakhouse on Hartley Street is the most established restaurant for game meats.
