There is no bar scene at Springbrook, and no one should come expecting one. The plateau is a national park destination, and the village reflects that: cafes serve coffee and food through the day, and that is essentially where the hospitality offer ends. There are no pubs and no late-night venues.
The cafes that exist are good at what they do. Coffee quality has improved considerably in recent years as the Gold Coast hinterland has caught up with broader Australian cafe culture. A few places have pleasant outdoor seating with views into the rainforest or across cleared paddocks. The pace is deliberately unhurried.
If a glass of wine or a beer after the day's walking is part of your plan, bring your own — the nearest bottleshop is at Mudgeeraba.
