Things to Do

Springbrook rewards visitors who are willing to walk. The national park's trail network ranges from short strolls to half-day circuits, almost all through rainforest of exceptional quality. Waterfalls, lookouts, and wildlife encounters are the rhythm of a day here — the plateau sits at around 900 metres, high enough that the air feels genuinely cool even in summer.

The park is divided into three sections. The main Springbrook plateau has the majority of the walks, including the falls and the best lookouts. The Natural Bridge section lies about 45 minutes' drive away and warrants a separate trip, especially if you can stay until after dark for the glow-worms. Mount Cougal is the third section, wilder and less visited, with a series of waterholes good for swimming in warmer months.

All tracks are signed and well-maintained. Entry to the national park is free; the car parks can fill on weekends and public holidays, so arriving early is worthwhile.
