Springbrook Village Cafes

The small cluster of cafes around Springbrook village is the social hub of the plateau. There are only a handful of places, strung along the main road, but they do the essentials well: strong coffee, fresh juices, cooked breakfasts, and lunches built around seasonal local produce. Avocados grown on the plateau appear in everything from smashed-avo toast to salads.

Several of the farms along the approach road run self-service stalls selling avocados, subtropical fruits, and seasonal vegetables — worth stopping at on the way up or down. The plateau is particularly known for its avocados, which benefit from the cool nights and consistent rainfall at altitude. Macadamia products and locally made jams and preserves also crop up regularly.

Dining hours are morning and lunch only on most days. The village quiets in the late afternoon and has little in the way of evening options. Visitors staying the night should stock up at the base of the mountain or plan to be largely self-catering.
