Arthur Bay is one of the quieter coves on Magnetic Island's north-east coast, tucked below the road beyond the Forts Walk turn-off. Granite boulders, hoop pines, and clear water give it a more secluded feel than the island's settlement beaches, and the reef sits close enough to shore to make a snorkel worth packing.
It is best treated as a stop on a beach-hopping walk rather than a fully serviced day out. There are no cafes or lifeguards here, so bring water, sun protection, and reef-safe gear, and check seasonal stinger advice before swimming.
