The Cobram District Historical Society runs a modest but well-curated museum in a heritage building near the centre of town. The strength of the collection is the river trade — paddle-steamer fittings, old shipping ledgers, photographs of the long-gone wharves at full operation in the 1880s.
There is also a good section on the soldier-settler era, when returning servicemen were given irrigation blocks in the surrounding area after both World Wars. Opening hours are limited (typically weekend afternoons); check before visiting.
