Broome is 2,046 km north of Perth — remote by any standard. Flying is the practical option for most visitors. Broome International Airport has direct flights from Perth (roughly 2.5 hours) operated by Qantas and Virgin Australia, as well as seasonal connections to other cities. Book ahead, particularly during the dry season tourist peak (May–October) when seats are limited and fares high.
Driving from Perth takes around 20–22 hours on the Great Northern Highway; most people break the journey in Carnarvon or Exmouth. The road is sealed all the way but long stretches are remote and fuel stops scarce — carry extra water and check fuel prices before departure.
There is no train service to Broome.
