A large public park and cricket ground at the southern edge of the town centre, with mature plane trees ringing the boundary and a handsome 1920s pavilion. The oval has been used for first-class cricket and is one of the prettier rural grounds in New Zealand, especially when a club fixture is in progress on a Saturday afternoon.
The Domain also includes picnic areas, a children's playground, and walking paths. The Temuka Heritage Sundial commemorates the town's centennial. A relaxing place to spend an hour or to base a picnic. Free, open all hours.
