Waiapu Cathedral

Waiapu Cathedral is Napier's Anglican cathedral, consecrated in 1960 after the earlier building was destroyed in the 1931 earthquake. Its Art Deco-era context makes it part of the city's wider story of destruction and rebuilding.

It is a short, worthwhile stop in central Napier, especially if you are already following the Art Deco walk or visiting MTG Hawke's Bay nearby.
