Osumi Canyon is the big natural outing from Berat: a limestone gorge south of Çorovodë where the Osum River cuts between vertical walls, caves, and seasonal waterfalls. In spring, when the water is high, rafting trips run through the canyon; later in the year, viewpoints and short walks become the easier way to see it.
It is a long enough day that transport matters. With your own car or a tour, you can combine the canyon with Bogovë Waterfall or small villages in Skrapar. Do not expect a manicured park experience; the best moments are the sudden openings over the gorge and the sense that Berat's Ottoman lanes are only one face of this part of Albania.
