Divjake-Karavasta National Park is the strongest nature excursion from Lushnje, protecting lagoon, dunes, pine forest, and wetland habitat on Albania's Adriatic coast. It is especially important for birdlife, including the Dalmatian pelican.
The park is worth a proper half-day rather than a quick detour. Go for the lagoon landscape, observation points, and a feel for coastal Albania away from resort strips and city traffic.
