Lushnjë sits on the main SH4 road between Durrës (about an hour north) and Fier (about 25 minutes south), and is served by frequent intercity buses and shared minibuses (furgon) from both. The journey from Tirana takes around an hour and a half by road; the city has no functioning passenger railway.
For Berat, take a furgon east from the Lushnjë bus terminal — the trip is about an hour through the hills.
