Ijevan Dendropark is a calm arboretum on the right bank of the Aghstev River. It was founded in the Soviet period, when botanists used Ijevan's mild, damp microclimate to grow trees and shrubs from far beyond Armenia.
Come for shade, quiet, and the contrast with the drier Armenian landscapes to the south. It is not manicured like a capital-city botanical garden, but that loose character suits Tavush.
