Lastiver Caves sit in the Khachaghbyur River valley near Yenokavan, reached by a forest walk that drops into one of Tavush's better-known gorges. The route combines caves, river sound, waterfalls, and steep green slopes.
Do not treat it as a casual city stroll from Ijevan. Start from the Yenokavan side, wear proper shoes, and check conditions if there has been rain. With a driver and a few hours, it is one of the most satisfying active trips from town.
