Tamanyan Park (Cafesjian Sculpture Garden)

The terraced sculpture garden at the foot of the Cascade, filled with works from the Cafesjian collection. The line-up includes Fernando Botero's plump Cat and Roman Warrior, Lynn Chadwick's hooded figures, Barry Flanagan's leaping hares, and Jaume Plensa's lit-from-within text figure. The bronze of architect Alexander Tamanian, hunched over his drawings, stands at the centre.

It is one of the more enjoyable free attractions in the city — a piece of contemporary art in a public park, busiest in late afternoon when the light hits the limestone wall and people gather to watch the city slow down.
