Most international visitors fly into Zvartnots International Airport, 12 kilometres west of the centre and connected to the city by frequent minibuses and metered taxis (the GG app is the easiest way to book). Direct flights link Yerevan with Moscow, Istanbul, Dubai, Doha, Vienna, Paris, and a handful of other European and Middle Eastern cities.
Overland, the southern border with Iran is open and there is a daily bus from Tehran via Tabriz. The Georgian border is also open and well used — overnight trains and daytime minibuses run from Tbilisi (around 6 hours by road). The borders with Turkey and Azerbaijan are closed.
