Yerevan has a serious cafe culture — sit-down, all-day, all-night, and central to the rhythm of the city. The squares around the Opera, Republic Square, and Charles Aznavour Square fill with cafe tables in summer, and most stay open into the small hours. The third-wave coffee scene has caught up over the past decade, and the Saryan Street wine district has put Armenian wine — a rapidly improving category — at the centre of a growing bar scene.
