Yerevan Zoo keeps a large collection of animals from Armenia, the South Caucasus and farther afield, including bears, goats, snakes, Armenian mouflon, black vultures, lions, tigers and hyenas. It was renovated in the 2010s and works best as a family stop or an easy break from the central museums and monuments.
