Melk's Accordion Museum is a small private collection devoted to an instrument invented in Vienna in 1829 and later carried around the world. The museum has about 250 accordions, including rare and eccentric pieces, with the oldest dating from the 1860s.
It is a niche stop, but a good one if you like musical instruments or want something in Melk beyond the abbey and riverfront.
