Sharur is a small town and there is not a great deal here in the way of formal sights — most of the interest lies in the surrounding villages and the agricultural countryside of the Arpa river valley. The double-minaret town mosque and the modernist martyrs' memorial are easy to find in the centre; the more rewarding stops are a short drive away.
